belated friday cat blog
The orange cat is squid, who lived with me and my ex-husband. After a protracted custody battle, squid now resides with my ex. The black cat is Jill, a reformed former feral, the very same feline who gave birth behind my ex's toilet. She is the mother of abby, one of my kittens.
it is truly a may/december romance, but who amongst us can cast doubts upon true love?

Yeah but you have to fill in the back-story, otherwise this is just YABCP (yet another boring cat picture)...
Jill grew up in the wild, and is mistrustful of all (cats and people). She dotes on her kittens, but keeps her distance from other cats.
Squid is a jaded old man. He has not cuddled with another cat since his best friend Moon died 2 years ago. He spurns the affections of the kittens, and he has no time for Betty. Jill, however, has somehow managed to soften his cantankerous heart.
That makes this a significant event. A faint ray of love has pierced the dreary gloom...
well thank you, The Ex, for filling in the gaps in the story. Of course, the whole point of the friday cat blog is the YABCP, but, since valentine's day is upon us, the hint of hollywood sweetness is appropriate.
